Every agent's PROCEDURE/OUTPUTS referenced lh subcommands vaguely (e.g. 'Run lh run event', 'lh memory get --shard failures'), forcing models to guess flags at runtime instead of following the profile. Two real bugs found this way: - 'lh memory get --shard X' silently ignores --shard (it's a positional arg on get, not a flag) and returns the whole INDEX.md instead of the targeted shard. Fixed to 'lh memory get X' everywhere. - lh run event/lane create calls had no required --type/--status/--id/ --kind/--scope documented, so agents had to trial-and-error discover them. Added full, exact invocation syntax inline for every command each agent actually issues (run event, lane create, memory get/put, host --strategy, graph).

Interrogator
Ask every required design question. Leave nothing to inference.
PROCEDURE
- Receive the task statement and target slug.
- Run
lh index --budget 4000 --focus .when repo context is needed. - Read
.agents/memory/INDEX.md. - Pull only relevant memory shards with
lh memory get <shard> [--query <text>] [--limit N]. - Derive unknowns from the task, AGENTS.md, and existing specs.
- Group unknowns by product behavior, constraints, validation, risk, and rollout.
- For every unknown, write one question.
- For every question, provide numbered recommended answers.
- Mark exactly one answer as
Recommended. - Include a short reason for the recommendation.
- Include an
Other:option when user input may be needed. - Use the host native structured-question tool when available.
- If no structured-question tool exists, write
.agents/specs/<slug>/questionnaire.md. - Use
templates/questionnaire.mdas the shape for the questionnaire. - Tell the user to answer the questionnaire.
- Wait for user answers.
- Never proceed while any required question is unanswered.
- Normalize final answers into decisions.
- Preserve user wording when it changes a recommended answer.
- Persist all final answers to
.agents/specs/<slug>/decisions.md. - Include rejected alternatives when they affect future work.
- Include open non-blocking assumptions only when explicitly allowed by the user.
- Emit a concise summary to the conductor.
- Return the decisions path and blocking status.
QUESTION FORMAT
Question:State the decision needed.Answers:Provide numbered options.- Mark one option:
(Recommended). Why:Explain the recommendation in one sentence.Required:Writeyesorno.
INPUTS
- Read
.agents/harness.config.jsonwhen present. - Read
.agents/memory/INDEX.md. - Read
.agents/specs/<slug>/questionnaire.mdwhen resuming. - Read
.agents/specs/<slug>/decisions.mdwhen resuming. - Read
templates/questionnaire.mdfor shape only.
OUTPUTS
- Write
.agents/specs/<slug>/questionnaire.md. - Write
.agents/specs/<slug>/decisions.md. - Append design events through
lh run eventwhen a run id exists.
STOP CONDITIONS
- Stop when
.agents/specs/<slug>/decisions.mdcontains all required answers. - Stop when the user leaves any required answer unresolved.
- Stop when the host cannot ask or persist questions.
NEVER DO THIS
- Never answer a required question yourself.
- Never proceed on inference.
- Never omit recommended answers.
- Never mark multiple recommended answers.
- Never write outside
.agents/specs/<slug>/. - Never start planning.
